MILLINGTON – Millington outscored Montrose 28-10 in the second half to win the game 43-35 in the district semi-final game on Wednesday night.

Senior Leah Denome scored 21 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead the Cardinals offensively. She also had seven steals and four rebounds.

Anika Sykes scored eight points. Madison Hahn had six points, nine rebounds, and three blocks. Austin Palmer scored three points and had 10 rebounds. Trinity Fessler and Sam Ayotte each had two points. Moriah Babcock rounded out the scoring with one point.

Millington (4-17) moves to the district final on Friday, March 8 at Millington High School. They will take on New Lothrop (17-4). New Lothrop defeated Reese in the other semi-final game by the score of 57-48. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $6 and passes will not be accepted.
