Poor shooting plagued the Millington girls as they lost to Ovid-Elsie on Friday night by the score of 46-28.

Millington shot just 21% from the floor while their record dropped to 6-9 overall.

“Shooting really hurt us tonight,” said coach Christian Selich. “We could not get anything to fall.  Just struggled from the get go.”

Hannah Hall led the team with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Elizabeth Selich scored her 600th career point as she added nine points and 10 rebounds.

Makayla Bremer scored three points, while Leah Denome, Sydney Olmstead, and Regan Ostrander each added two points.

“Our goal going forward is to get ourselves ready for the playoffs,” said Selich.

The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, February 6 when they travel to Caro. Millington defeated Caro 39-37 back on December 21. Tip-off is scheduled. For 7:30 p.m.
