The Millington girls’ got a Tri-Valley East victory over Caro on Tuesday night by the score of 56-39.
The Cardinals were led by Hannah Hall’s 23 points and six rebounds. Hall also had two steals and two assists. Her only block of the game came in the third quarter as a Caro player attempted a three-point shot from the right corner. The block tied the school record for career blocks at 71. Hall’s older sister Hailee (2010-2013) held the record previously.
Leah Denome scored eight points. Makayla Bremer scored six points to add to her four rebounds and four blocks. Sydney Olmstead added six points, three steals, and three assists.
Taylor Wirsing scored five points, dished out four assists, and added a game-high 11 rebounds. Elizabeth Selich four points, five rebounds, and three steals. Regan Ostrander and Madison Hahn rounded out the scoring with two points apiece.
The Cardinals (7-9, 5-4) will host the Bearcats (6-9, 4-4) from Bridgeport on Thursday, February 8. Millington won 43-39 back on December 19 in Bridgeport. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
