MILLINGTON – The freshmen football team welcomed Freeland into Cardinal Country on Thursday afternoon and came away with a hard-fought 30-28 victory.

Owen Butterfield led the ground attack scoring three touchdowns on the ground. Aaron Gross scored a rushing touchdown. Ben Shreve intercepted a Freeland pass and returned it 40 yards for a decisive touchdown in the 2nd half.

Millington (2-1) will host Croswell-Lexington next Thursday, September 19. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
