The Millington junior varsity volleyball team picked up two straight-set victories Monday night, defeating LakeVille and Caro at the Millington JV Tri. The Cardinals opened the night with a 25-9, 25-16 victory over LakeVille. Aubrey Wascher led the defense with six digs, while Taylor Watson added five digs and eight assists. Emma Garl led the attack with four kills, and Johanna Holzwarth added two. Millington followed with another strong performance against Caro, winning 25-14, 25-10. Brynnlee Watts led the Cardinals with eight digs and five aces. Mia Wagner added four digs and a team-high four kills, while Wascher and Garl finished with three kills apiece. Wascher also recorded four aces. Watson directed the offense with 11 assists in the win over Caro, bringing her total to 19 assists over the two matches. Millington returns to action Tuesday, October 6, when the Cardinals host the Lakers at 6 p.m.
