MILLINGTON — The Millington varsity volleyball team continued its strong start to Big Thumb Conference play Tuesday night, sweeping Caro 25-9, 25-18, 25-14 at home. The Cardinals controlled the match from the service line, led by Kallie Stevens, who recorded eight aces. Stevens also finished with seven kills. EmmaLeigh Peters recorded five aces and nine digs, while Grace Ehrmantraut added four aces and a team-high 12 digs. Carly Ehrmantraut contributed six kills and nine digs, and Brooklyn Barden finished with six kills. Kate Murray directed the Millington offense with 13 assists, while Lyla Wagner added seven. Millington will face a tougher test Thursday, September. 17, when the Cardinals travel to Cass City for a 7:30 p.m. BTC White matchup against the #4-ranked Red Hawks.
