The Millington junior varsity volleyball team fell to Laker in three sets Tuesday evening, 25-14, 25-11, 15-9. Tuesday’s match was Millington’s first action since winning the silver bracket at the Mt. Morris Invitational. Brynnlee Watts led the Cardinals defensively with 10 digs, while Aubrey Wascher added nine. Taylor Watson finished with four assists to lead the Millington offense. Emma Garl recorded a team-high three kills, while Arianna Desgrange added two. Peyton Thompson led the Cardinals from the service line with two aces. Millington will return home Thursday, Sept. 10, when the Cardinals host Unionville-Sebewaing.
