Two members of Millington's baseball team have earned statewide recognition after standout seasons at the plate. Senior Garret Woodward was selected as a Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State outfielder, while junior Brandon Dickie received Honorable Mention All-State honors as an infielder. The awards recognize the top high school baseball players across Michigan each season. Woodward capped his Cardinal career with one of the best offensive seasons in the area. The senior hit .455 and collected 15 doubles, three triples, and a home run. He crossed the plate 47 times and drove in 34 runs, providing a steady presence at the top of the Millington lineup while helping lead the Cardinals through a successful postseason run. Dickie also put together an impressive campaign during his junior season. The versatile infielder batted .438 with five doubles and three triples. He scored 44 runs, knocked in 27, and showed patience at the plate by drawing 28 walks, consistently finding ways to get on base and create scoring opportunities for the Cardinals. The pair played key roles in Millington's success throughout the 2026 season. Woodward's selection to the All-State team and Dickie's Honorable Mention recognition add to the tradition of Cardinal baseball players earning honors from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association.
