Millington senior Jack Sherman finished his high school wrestling career with his best finish in the state individual tournament with a runner-up finish in the 135-pound weight class. Sherman (28-1) lost in a 5-1 decision to Dundee’s Aidan Davis (27-1).
Sherman finished his career with a 157-18 overall record. The three-time all-state wrestler finished in third place as a sophomore and in fifth place as a freshman.
Senior Hunter Norris (20-4) finished in 6th place in the 125-pound weight class. Norris also finished in 6th place as a sophomore.
The Cardinals sent three other grapplers to the state tournament. Senior Hunter Ayotte (18-11) competed in the 215-pound weight class. Sophomore Luke Sherman (21-5) wrestled in the 130-pound weight class. Freshman Ian Crump (9-4) was in the 152-pound weight class.
