MILLINGTON – A busy week is ahead in Millington. Not only does the football team continue their playoff run, but the volleyball team begins theirs.
Volleyball districts will begin on Monday, November 2. Millington is hosting the Division 3 District 94 matches for the MHSAA. On Monday, Vassar and Montrose will kick volleyball action off at 5:30 p.m. Following that match, Reese will take on Valley Lutheran.
On Wednesday, November 4, New Lothrop will face the winner of the Vassar/Montrose match at 5:30 p.m. Following that match, the Cardinals will finally take the court versus the winner of Valley Lutheran and Reese. The district finals will take place on Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m.
All the matches can be viewed on the NFHS Network. This is a subscription-based service. Subscriptions can be purchased on an annual basis or a monthly basis through the NFHS Network when you click on the subscribe button. The live stream can be viewed from any computer browser, apps for both Apple and Android devices, or on Apple TV, Roku, or Fire TV. Each subscription will allow the user to not only view Millington events that are live-streamed but other high school events as well. A portion of each subscription is donated back to Millington Athletics.
Tickets for Millington’s game on Wednesday will be able to be purchased through the GoFan website and app. Information for the Cardinals match will be issued to the players on Tuesday. Each player will be able to purchase two tickets for each match. Attendees at Millington Jr/Sr High School are required to wear masks at all times.
The football team will play on Friday, November 6 when they take on Mt. Morris in the Division 6 Region 2 District 2 semi-finals. The game will be live-streamed on the NFHS Network. Kickoff is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets for the game will again be able to be purchased through the GoFan website and app. Players, cheerleaders, and band members will be able to purchase tickets. The participants will be issued a code to purchase tickets on Monday afternoon. Attendees are required to wear a mask at all times.
