MILLINGTON – In just 11 days time, the Millington High School gymnasium floor has been completely transformed into one of the nicest floors in the area.
New Operations Director Chris Dipzinski and staff were hard at work over the winter break in order to completely refinish the floor.
The floor had to be completely sanded down to the wood. After a varnish covering, the painting process was able to begin.
The baseline and sidelines are wider and the baselines have “Cardinals” painted in white over the red. Credit to high school and middle school art teacher Taylor Dantinne for the cardinal logo at halfcourt and you have a brand new gym floor. Some other new additions are new colors for the volleyball court lines, three-point lines for the basketball cross-courts, and the keys on the main basketball floor are now painted red.
Come out and see the debut of the new floor tonight as the junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball teams take on our M-15 rival from the north; the Vassar Vulcans.
