Game Recap

BRIDGEPORT – Millington dominated Bridgeport twice on Wednesday as they swept the Bearcats by scores of 21-0 and 22-0.

Gabbie Sherman picked up the shutout win by striking out seven batters in three innings for work. Sherman was also 2-3 at the plate with a double, RBI, and a stolen base.

Sydney Bishop was 3-3 at the plate three RBIs, a double, and a base on ball. Taylor Rueger and Darrien Roberts each drove in four runs on two hits.

Cally Cunningham (2 RBI), Maddie Hahn (2 RBI), and Maddie Olds each had one hit in the victory.

Cunningham picked up the victory in game two striking out six batters in three innings of work. She also had one hit, scored two runs, drove in four, and walked three times.

Addi Cooper (2R), McKenna Slough (3R), and Maddie Hahn (2R) each had one hit for the Cardinals. In all Millington walked or was hit-by-pitch 22 times in the game two victory.

The Cardinals return to action this weekend as the play in the Michigan Stars Tournament in Grand Blanc.
